SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio — The Village of South Bloomfield will hold its annual “Topple the Truck with Toys” holiday toy drive Dec. 12 at Marvin Webster Park, with collections running from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to an event posted by the village on Facebook.
The drive asks residents to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help fill a police cruiser parked at the park. All toy and monetary donations collected will go to the Pickaway County Community Action Organization, known locally as PICCA, which distributes the donations to children across the county for Christmas.
The event will also include a visit from Santa Claus from 2 to 6 p.m. and free horse-drawn carriage rides from 4 to 8 p.m., the village said.
Marvin Webster Park is located at 5000 Park Place in South Bloomfield.
PICCA is a Circleville-based nonprofit that works to help Pickaway County residents in poverty become self-sufficient, and the agency relies on community toy drives like South Bloomfield’s to help supply families with gifts during the holidays.
