WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — A popular store in Fayette County is expanding within the county.
Dollar Tree, which has a location next to Home Depot in Washington Court House, has signed a lease to expand on the other end of town, in front of the former K-Mart building.
The new location will be 2100 Columbus Avenue, which has previously housed numerous businesses, including a hair salon, insurance agency, and once, the county BMV. The property has two buildings: the 99,000 square foot super center that is home to Family Farm, and then, a smaller office building in front along the street. It’s the smaller building where Dollar Tree is locating, which is 8,400 square feet.
The property is owned and managed by Pennmark Management, who bought it shortly after K-Mart closed in 2001. The Pennsylvania-based company has struggled to find tenants for the property. However, in the last month, it was announced Harbor Freight would occupy a portion of the larger building in the rear.
It was not announced when Dollar Tree would be opening their second location.
