A singing and dancing drag queen was rapping profanities and inadvertently showing her private parts live on the morning news.
Columbus’ NBC 4 WCMH-TV reporter Danielle Grossman was reporting live from Land Grant Brewery Thursday morning in a paid-for segment for “Get out of the vote,” an event by the local alcohol establishment to drum up registered voters to early vote; the event was co-sponsored by a local non-profit. TV insider website, FTVLive.com was the first to report the incident.
As part of the event, which was getting underway Thursday night, the brewery was featuring a singing and dancing drag queen named “Joelle.”
Grossman introduced the drag queen live on the air during the morning newscast explaining that the performer was part of the festivities taking place later that evening. The artist, wearing a tight black dress, busted out in a rap and started dancing as a preview of what attendees could expect; her backup dancer, named Jaz, was by her side.

During one point of the live performance, the dress the drag queen was wearing started to ride up during the nearly 60 second tune. The dress rode up so far during the T.V. interview that the drag queen’s private parts became exposed on-air for nearly six seconds.
Moments after the profanity started airing during the song, the microphone went quiet and the camera cut to the station’s morning anchors, Matt Barnes and Monica Day, who apologized for “the language” and tossed the show to commercial.
Dozens of viewers reacted on social media about the fiasco.
Fake news, there was nothing to see in that image. She looks like a Barbie doll.
I agree with Tom S.
What do you expect? You put trash on tv and you get trash entertainment.
