JACKSON, Ohio — A routine traffic stop escalated into a high-speed pursuit this afternoon involving law enforcement agencies from three counties.

The chase began at approximately 3:30 PM today after a traffic stop in Jackson County involving a dump truck.

The chase has continued from Jackson, into Pike, and now Ross County.

UPDATE:

  • 3:51 PM | The chase was in the area of Denver and Hartwood Road.

  • 4:13 PM | The driver avoided spike strips by Ross County deputies. The chase is ongoing in the area of Arrowood Road. Aviation from the Ohio Highway Patrol has been requested to assist.
  • 4:28 PM | One suspect fled on foot in the area of Arrowood Road.
  • 4:30 PM | Suspect was taken into custody.
