Multiple agencies are on the scene of a homicide in Pike County.

The active scene is in the 300 block of Johnson Hill Road. Pike County Sheriff deputies got a 9-1-1 call that there was someone shot in the area late-Monday afternoon.

A person of interest was quickly identified and was said to have fled the area. An active manhunt was launched for Jon-Erik Burrgraff. Deputies called for help from the Ohio Highway Patrol, who sent a half-a-dozen troopers to the area, including a K-9 unit. Initially, troopers asked for a helicopter to assist, but they were unable to fly due to the weather.

Aerial images showed a blue tent above the scene of the shooting with crime scene tape blocking the driveway.

Piketon Police Department was also called in to assist in the manhunt.

Agents with BCI have been called to process the scene. The county coroner’s car was also at the scene.

The Sheriff’s office would not immediately release any more information or who was involved.
