WILMINGTON, Ohio — The risk of severe weather returns to the area this week.
According to the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, residents across the region should remain weather aware.
On Wednesday, the SPC said the Scioto Valley is under a marginal risk for severe weather, with an increase in storms on Thursday.
Today, meteorologists with the National Weather Service say a few strong to severe storms are possible, mainly this afternoon into the early evening. Damaging winds and large hail are the primary hazards, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
Individuals across the area should have multiple means of receiving warnings over the next two days.
