GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio — Human remains that were found in an open field in Gallia County have now been identified as those of a missing Waverly man, Koby Roush, 24.
He was last seen in July 2020. The Guardian reported on the grisly discovery of the remains on Sunday, March 12.
According to the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call on Saturday, March 11, regarding possible human remains found along Mt. Carmel Road.
The remains were sent to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for identification. Authorities have not yet released the official cause of death.
