WASHINGTON, D.C. — One of the largest manufacturer of lawn care equipment has announced a recall involving their trimmers.
Officials say if you own a Husqvarna gas-powered grass trimmer, immediately stop using it and check if it’s part of a recent recall due to a fire hazard.
Products Affected:
- Models: 330LK, 130C, and 130L
- Color: Orange and gray
- Date of sale: October 2021 through November 2023
- Price range: $250-$300
- Sold at: Husqvarna dealers, Lowe’s,Tractor Supply, other home and garden stores, and online at Amazon.com
Hazard:
Incorrect wiring in the ignition module can cause electrical sparks or arcing, posing a fire risk if gas is on or near the unit. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has received reports of 12 incidents, including:
- Trimmers catching on fire
- Electrical sparks or arcing
- Property damage
- A consumer suffering burns on their leg and arm while trying to extinguish a fire
