WILMINGTON, Ohio — The threat of severe weather returns to the Scioto Valley today. Damaging winds, heavy rain, and a few tornadoes are possible.
According to meteorologists with the National Weather Service and the Storm Prediction Center, much of the region is under either a slight or enhanced risk for severe storms.
Timing appears to be this afternoon into the early evening hours. Motorists should stay tuned to the latest weather updates as today’s storms could impact the evening commute.
Ohio currently leads the nation in tornado touchdowns, beating out Oklahoma, Texas, and other tornado-prone states in the Midwest.
