PIKE COUNTY, Ohio – Pike County Sheriff Tracy D. Evans has announced the results of a long-term investigation, Operation “Protect Our Kids,” conducted over several months in Pike and Scioto counties. The operation, led by the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Forces’ IT specialist, who also serves as a detective/investigator for the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, resulted in several felony arrests and charges.
The investigation focused on suspects paying money to engage in sexual activities with minors, ranging from 13 to 16 years old. The following individuals were arrested during the operation:
- Michael Waugh – Importuning (F5)
- Keith Anderson – Importuning (F5) with a gun specification
- Carl Loper Jr. – Importuning (F5)
- Willard Riffe – Engaging in prostitution (M1)
- Larry Hayslip – Engaging in prostitution (M1)
- Jarrius M. Dixon – Importuning (F5), Trafficking in Drugs
