McARTHUR, Ohio — Vinton County voters overwhelmingly approved three renewal levies Tuesday, according to final unofficial results released by the county Board of Elections.
All 20 precincts reported in the countywide issues, each of which sought to continue existing tax levies without increasing rates.
The OSU Extension renewal levy passed 1,049 to 641, continuing funding for agricultural programs, youth development, and community education. The totals include 738 Election Day votes and 206 early votes in favor.
Voters also renewed the Developmental Disabilities levy by the same margin, 1,049 to 641, ensuring continued support for county services for residents with developmental disabilities. Absentee voters supported the levy 111 to 78, while Election Day voters backed it 730 to 421.
The Senior Citizens renewal levy passed by the widest margin of the night, 1,160 to 534, extending funding for senior services, transportation, and meal programs. Election Day voters supported the measure 813 to 340.
All three levies were renewals, meaning they do not increase taxes and simply continue existing funding levels.
Results remain unofficial until certified by the Vinton County Board of Elections.
