CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Every student in the Union-Scioto Local School District will get breakfast and lunch at no charge during the 2026-27 school year, the district announced Monday.

The no-cost meals apply to standard breakfast and lunch service at all Unioto buildings. Families can still buy additional lunches or à la carte items if a student has money on their lunch account, according to the district.

Parents can add funds to lunch accounts by paying with check or cash at the café or through Payschools Central on the district’s website, the district said. Unioto joins the Chillicothe City School District, which began offering free meals to all students in 2024, in providing no-cost breakfast and lunch this year.

Questions about the meal program can be directed to Tracey Forcum, the district’s food service supervisor, at 740-773-4105, ext. 4149, or by email at [email protected].
