ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville will host its Food Truck Festival Friday and Saturday, bringing two days of food trucks, live music and free admission to Ashville Community Park.
The festival runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, and from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at 164 Walnut St., according to a post from the village. Admission is free.
Live music will fill both evenings. Whiskey Ridge Country is scheduled to play Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Out of Eden from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday’s lineup opens with food and family activities from 1 to 4 p.m., followed by Bourbon Stew from 5 to 7 p.m. and Mystic Highway closing out the night from 8 to 10 p.m.
Proceeds from the festival benefit Ohio’s Small Town Museum and the Ashville community, according to the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau. The museum, at 34 Long St., is operated by the Ashville Area Heritage Society, which traces its roots to 1975, when it organized in response to the planned demolition of the village’s former Norfolk and Western Railroad station. The museum preserves photographs, documents and artifacts chronicling the history of Ashville and the surrounding Pickaway County communities.
Ashville, a village of roughly 4,900 residents in northern Pickaway County, was incorporated in 1882.
