WILLIAMSPORT, Ohio — Westfall Local School District students won’t pay class fees or athletic pay-to-participate fees during the 2026-2027 school year after the district’s Board of Education voted Monday night to rescind fee schedules it had previously approved.
The board had already adopted a fiscal year 2027 class fee schedule and a separate pay-to-participate fee schedule covering athletics before reversing course at the meeting, according to the district.
Families who already paid any of those fees for the coming school year will be refunded, the district said. Refunds are expected within 30 days, though any convenience fees charged on the original transactions will not be returned.
Preschool fees are not part of the change and will remain in place, according to the district.
District officials said in a statement they were excited to share the news with students, families and the community and thanked the Board of Education for its support.
