CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Logan Elm High School has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best High Schools” rankings for the second consecutive year, according to the Logan Elm Local School District.

The school ranked 4,205 out of 17,945 public high schools nationwide, placing it in the top 23% in the country, the district said. In Ohio, Logan Elm ranked 171 out of 974 public high schools, putting it in the top 17% statewide, and it ranked 30 out of 141 among Central Ohio public high schools, in the top 21% of the region.

U.S. News & World Report bases its rankings on several factors, including student performance on state-required tests, graduation rates, and college and career readiness, according to the district.

District officials pointed to growth in the high school’s College Readiness Index as a particular point of pride, citing an expanding lineup of College Credit Plus courses taught in-house by Logan Elm staff, additional Advanced Placement course offerings, and a new CCP Lounge intended to help prepare students for college.

“Our students’ hard work, along with the hard work and support of our entire staff and families, have led to this award for the second year in a row. This is an achievement the entire Logan Elm community can be proud of,” Logan Elm High School Principal Bret King said in a statement.
