Linda Sue Crabtree, 74, of Sciotoville, Ohio, went to her heavenly home on August 30, 2026, at SOMC Hospice.
Linda was born December 24, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Estel Ivan and Menzie (DeLong) Crabtree. She worked as an accounting assistant before retiring.
Linda was a faithful member of LifePoint Church in Portsmouth, where her love for the Lord and her church family was evident in the way she lived her life. She was very involved in church activities and especially treasured the time she spent with the ladies and the many friends she made along the way. Her faith was not simply something she believed—it was a part of who she was and how she loved others.
Those who knew Linda will remember her for her outgoing personality, warm heart, and genuine love for people. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special. She was always ready to get together, share a laugh, enjoy an outing, or create another memory with the people she loved. Linda never needed a special occasion to celebrate life. She found joy in simply being surrounded by family and friends and making the most of every opportunity to enjoy their company.
Her greatest joy was her family and the people she held close. She loved being together, sharing stories, laughing, and making memories that would be treasured for years to come. Linda's presence brought a special energy to every gathering, and her absence will be felt in countless little moments—the gatherings that will not be quite the same, the stories that will bring a smile, and the memories that will be carried in the hearts of those who loved her.
Linda is survived by her nephews, Mark (Samantha) Crabtree of McDermott, Matthew (Alicia) Crabtree of Lucasville, and Ryan (Leigh) Stafford of Gahanna; nieces Autumn Crabtree of Jackson and Angelle Crabtree of Jackson; several great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew as well as her sister-in-law, Vicki Crabtree.
She also leaves behind her church family and many dear friends who were blessed to share a part of her life.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Estel Crabtree and Pastor Michael Craig Crabtree.
Although our hearts are heavy with her passing, we can take comfort in knowing that Linda has finished her earthly journey and is now home. The memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she gave will remain with us. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday September 05, 2026, D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in Sciotoville, with Pastor Ryan Hunt officiating; interment to follow at Rushtown Cemetery. Visitation is 12:00 NOON – 1:00 PM, prior to the funeral service.
