Jeanne Lynn Blankenship, 69 of Otway, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. She was born on August 23, 1957 in Portsmouth to the late Roy James Smith, Sr and Waynette Hester Hume Smith. On December 23, 1972 she was united in marriage to Harold Blankenship of Otway. In addition to her husband, Jeanne is survived by her children; Harold Lee (Mary L) Blankenship, III of Otway and Jeremy Roy (Andrea) Blankenship, Sr of West Portsmouth; grandchildren; Jeremy Roy (Christin) Blankenship, Jr, Bryan (Kayla M) Blankenship, David A Kleinke, Mathew L Kleinke and Nicole (Alex) Vest; great grandchildren, Baker Roy, Bristol Ann Marie, Baylor Jo, Asher L Blankenship, Chole G Whitaker, Bobbie Sue Kleinke and Riley A Vest; siblings, Kelly A Powell and Roy James (Marsha) Smith, Jr. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her sister; Mary Boehm and brother-in-law Jeff Powell.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on September 11, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with Eldon Hoffer officiating. Burial will follow in Beechfork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home in Otway.
