CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District will hold a free drive-thru rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, in the health district’s parking lot across from its office at 150 E. Second St.
Vaccines are free and offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, according to the health district. The clinic follows a confirmed rabies case in a local bat that exposed two dogs in the county earlier this year.
Dogs must be leashed or harnessed, and cats must be secured in a carrier. Veterinarians on-site reserve the right to deny vaccination to pets due to health concerns, and the health district and participating veterinarians are not responsible for animals brought to the clinic.
