ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville will close a stretch of Harrison Street for seven hours Friday to make way for a special event, according to a notice posted by the village.
Harrison Street will be shut down between Long Street and Powell Street from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, the village said in a Facebook post. The village did not specify the nature of the event in its announcement.
Officials asked drivers to plan ahead, use an alternate route and use caution in the surrounding area while the closure is in effect.
Ashville is a village of roughly 4,700 residents in Pickaway County, about 17 miles south of Columbus and 8 miles north of Circleville, situated in the Scioto River Valley along the edge of the Appalachian Plateau.
