Brian Crow “The Bee Guy” Londonderry, Ohio
Brian Crow, affectionately known to many as “The Bee Guy,” of Londonderry, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Brian was a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did. Throughout his working life, he held several different positions, including working as a landscaper and truck driver, before becoming a Terminal Manager for Barr-Nunn Transportation. His work ethic, knowledge, and ability to work with people were qualities that served him well throughout his career.
Brian found great joy in life, in nature, and especially in bees. His passion for beekeeping became an important part of who he was. To those who knew him, he was more than a beekeeper—he was someone who loved sharing his knowledge, helping others, and bringing people together through his love of bees and the outdoors. His love enthusiasm earned him the special nickname “The Bee Guy,” a name that will always be remembered with affection.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Fran Crow, who shared his life, adventures, and many special memories.
Brian is also survived by his sisters and their families: Christie Vargo and her wife, Carol, of Granville, Ohio; Barbara Crow and her wife, Sherry Rovig, of Duluth, Minnesota; and Deborah Crow and her husband, Ray, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, along with their sons, Jack and Jacob Ruiz.
He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Angela Ford and her husband, Matt Ford, and his granddaughter, Helen Ford, who brought special joy and love into his life.
Brian was preceded in death by his first wife Barabara Crow, Walter Crow, father, Jacqueline Crow, mother.
Brian will be deeply missed by his wife, family, granddaughter, friends, fellow beekeepers, former coworkers, and all those whose lives he touched. His strong work ethic, love of nature, passion for bees, and willingness to share his knowledge will continue to live on in the people he inspired.
“The Bee Guy” may be gone, but the buzz he brought into the lives of so many will never be forgotten.
