JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio — A crash involving two large trucks shut down a stretch of State Route 734 near West Lancaster Road on Monday afternoon, prompting Jefferson Township Fire & EMS to urge motorists to steer clear of the area.

The fire department said in a Facebook post that drivers should expect delays in the area and that crews expected the roadway to be completely cleared by 7:30 p.m.

The intersection sits roughly two miles west of Jeffersonville, in Fayette County. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the crash, and the fire department’s post did not release additional details about the cause or the vehicles involved.
