CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Frankfort man died early Tuesday after the Jeep Wrangler he was driving overturned and struck a utility pole on County Road 550 in Concord Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Collin Fout, 24, was traveling southeast on County Road 550 near Heather Drive at about 3:47 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve, the patrol said. The Jeep left the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a utility pole, ejecting Fout from the vehicle, according to the patrol.

Concord Township EMS took Fout to Adena Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, the patrol said.

Troopers from the patrol’s Chillicothe post were assisted at the scene by Concord Township Fire and EMS, South Central Power and BB Towing. County Road 550 was closed for approximately two hours while the crash was investigated, according to the patrol.

The crash remains under investigation.

The information contained in this story was obtained from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
