JEFFERSONVILLE, Ohio — Children in the Village of Jeffersonville will get their chance to trick-or-treat on Halloween night, with village officials setting the annual event for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The village announced the schedule in a Facebook post, giving families in the Fayette County community time to plan costumes and porch-light displays ahead of the holiday.
Jeffersonville, located in Jefferson Township in northern Fayette County along U.S. Route 22, was platted in 1831 and named for President Thomas Jefferson. The village had a population of 1,258 residents at the 2020 census, according to federal census figures.
Village officials did not announce any rain date or alternate plan in the event of severe weather. Residents who plan to participate are typically encouraged to turn on their porch lights to signal they are handing out candy.
