GREENFIELD, Ohio — Crews with the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District responded to a structure fire Friday in the 100 block of Mirabeau Street, and the district asked residents to avoid the area while firefighters worked the scene.
The district announced the fire in a Facebook post, warning nearby residents to stay clear of the block as crews arrived. No additional details on the cause of the fire, the extent of damage or any injuries were immediately released.
Mirabeau Street sits in the heart of the village, near the intersection where South Washington Street runs through downtown Greenfield.
Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District is one of the largest fire districts in Ohio by coverage area, serving more than 362 square miles across Highland, Fayette and Ross counties. The district, staffed primarily by volunteers alongside career personnel, operates out of three stations, including Station 21 in Greenfield, which houses two medic units, an engine and a rescue truck.
