Bonnie Lou Brown Grice Clark, 91, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026. She was born April 23, 1935, the daughter of George and Carrie (Andre) Brown. Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend whose life was defined by her love for family, her strong faith, and her warm, caring spirit.
In 1955, Bonnie married Thomas Lee Grice, and together they raised three children: Thomas L. Grice II (Michelle), George B. Grice (Lena), and Christy Lynn Grice. Bonnie was blessed with four grandchildren, Stephen Grice, Laura Beth (Nic) Dennis, Stephanie (Ryan) Allard, and Jonathan (Shannon) Grice; and three great-grandchildren, Lucy Dennis, Finn Grice, and Jackson Allard. Her first husband, Tom, preceded her in death in 1996. After six years as a widow, Bonnie married David Clark in 2002. Through Dave, she was blessed with four stepsons, Larry, Tim, Bruce, and Jonathan Clark, two of whom preceded her in death. Bonnie and Dave shared 15 years together, enjoying each other's company and the life they built together, until his passing in 2017.
Bonnie was one of nine children. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Brown, and sisters Mary Bocook, Wilma (Rene) Thompson, Freda Bocook, Shirley Ebmeier, Norma Brown, and her twin sister, Jane Felty. She is survived by her sister, Georgia Hall.
A 1953 graduate of South Webster High School, Bonnie went on to attend Portsmouth Interstate Business College. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including waitressing, working at Montgomery Ward and Marting's Department Store, and serving as office manager of T&S Specialty Sales. Eventually, Bonnie purchased the business herself. She took great pride in her work, happily making sales calls and building lasting relationships with the customers she served.
Bonnie's faith was an important part of her life. She grew up attending Antioch Free Will Baptist Church in Lyra, later attended Sciotodale Free Will Baptist Church with her young family, and in her later years was a member of Porter Free Will Baptist Church.
Outside of work and church, Bonnie enjoyed the things that brought people together and made life meaningful. She loved cooking, reading, line dancing, crocheting, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the many lives she touched, and the cherished memories she created with those around her.
Bonnie leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply but will carry her memory and the lessons of her life with them for generations to come.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, 11:00 AM, D.W. Swick & Son funeral and Cremation Services in Wheelersburg, Pastor Mark Price officiating; interment to follow at Vernon Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, September 22, 2026, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Service Wednesday.
