CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe’s citywide trick-or-treat will be held Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine, Mayor Luke Feeney announced.

The date follows the schedule recommended annually by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, which the city uses to set its trick-or-treat night rather than defaulting to Halloween itself, according to the mayor’s office.

Two more Halloween events are set for Saturday, Oct. 31. A downtown trick-or-treat hosted by the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce will run from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a Halloween parade hosted by the Chillicothe Jaycees starting at 7 p.m.

Feeney urged drivers to use extra caution during all three events so trick-or-treaters and parade attendees can participate safely.
