David Cupp, 80, passed away on September 24, 2026. He was born August 13, 1946, in Circleville, Ohio, to Kirk and Charlotte Cupp.  David was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda K. Cupp, and his daughter, Lori E. Tyler.  He is survived by his son-in-law Rob Tyler, his son, Chad Cupp and his wife, Tanya Clark-Cupp; grandchildren, Casey Tyler and his wife, Maria Tyler, Caden Cupp, and Piper Cupp; and his great-granddaughter, Colbie Jo Tyler.  David worked at Reynolds in Circleville for three decades and was a retired United States Army veteran.  David enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing at Rice Lake, playing canasta, spending time at the American Legion, sitting on his back deck, and taking care of his yard. He was also an avid reader and a frequent visitor to the library. When his eyesight diminished, his love of books remained, and he enjoyed having others read to him. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed Ohio State football and rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandson Casey play baseball and football.  His family was important to him. He loved hearing about what Caden and Piper were doing and keeping up with their lives. David also loved his dogs, although no one could ever convince him that there was such a thing as giving them too many treats.  David was known for his sense of humor and his ability to crack a joke, something he held onto even through his illness and final days. He will be remembered through the many ordinary moments that meant so much—time spent with family, afternoons on the deck, a well-kept yard, a ball game, a fishing trip, a good book, a good laugh, and the companionship of a beloved dog at his side.  David’s ashes have been laid to rest at Forest Cemetery alongside his beloved wife, Brenda, and daughter, Lori.  Online condolences can be made at www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
