Mary Lynn Nance, 73, passed away on October 2, 2026.
Mary was a caring and compassionate woman who loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and loving heart touched many lives.
Mary found joy in the simple things in life. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and decorating her home for the holidays. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family and making the meals they loved. Her grandchildren would often request her famous sloppy Joes, and she was always happy to make them. Those meals, along with the love that went into them, will become treasured memories for her family.
Mary is survived by her husband Randy Nance children, Mileah Wilson, Tony Wilson, and Mark (Jasine) Hurless Wilson. She was a proud grandmother to Haylee (Ryan) Turner, Brianna Wilson, Brittney Wilson, Brooklyn (Drake) Berlin, and Ben Wilson, and a loving great-grandmother to Charlie Turner. She also leaves behind stepchildren Chris, Isaac, and R.G. Nance and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Effie Jenkins, and her brothers, Vernon Jenkins and Ron Jenkins.
A funeral is planned for 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Anchor Baptist Church, 456 Jamison Rd. SW, Washington Court House, Ohio with pastor Mike Pinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to honor Mary to consider making a contribution to help with her final expenses. Every gift no matter the amount would be greatly appreciated.
Mary will be remembered for her caring heart, her compassion, her love of family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her family will forever cherish the memories of holiday decorations, home-cooked meals, jigsaw puzzles, and especially the love she showed them in all the little things she did.
Though her time here has come to an end, the love she gave will continue through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
“Her memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part. God has her in His keeping; we have her in our hearts.”
