Cynthia Parlea Damron, 72, of Waverly, Ohio, passed 3:09 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Adena Pike Medical Center, Waverly, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones.

Cynthia was born August 13, 1954, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of Turman “Blackie” Helton, and Rusina (Jenkins) Helton. On December 27, 1972, she was united in marriage to Gary Damron, who survives.

She is also survived by her daughter, Amanda Damron; three grandchildren, Wyatt Savely, Mia Savely, and Faith McDaniel; three brothers, Ray (Rosie) Helton, Charlie (Vicky) Helton, and James (Sandy) Helton; and her sister, Darlene Howard Wise.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and eight siblings, Orville Helton, Arnold Helton, Donald Helton, Shirley Helton, David Helton, Larry Helton, George Helton, and Joseph Helton.

Cynthia was a graduate of Waverly High School Class of 1972, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church, Waverly, Ohio. She had unconditional love for her family, children, and grandchildren, and was always fond of the rain. The highlight of her life, however, was going fishing with her dad.

Visitation will not be observed. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services.
