Jacob Derick Keesee, 38 years old, of Latham, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with the lord on September 30th, 2026. His passing was sudden and devastating to all that knew him.

Jacob was born June 12th, 1988, in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, to Melissa (Johnson) Cox, and James William “Bill” Keesee, Jr.

He is survived by his parents; aunts and uncles, Glenn and Angie Johnson, Mandy and Don Bowling, Derick McMillen, Monica Hollon, and Kim Knauff; bonus sister and brother, Lindsay Anderson, and Matthew Knauff; Cousins, Anthony Johnson, Trent Johnson, K.K. McMillen, Maddie Ciders; and their children.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mildred “Midge” and Gene McMillen, and Harley Johnson; paternal grandparents, Lola, and James William Keesee, Sr; and stepfather, David Cox.

Jacob liked to fish and hunt, and loved buying, fixing, and riding motorcycles; which he often did with his stepdad, Dave. He also enjoyed rebuilding and refurbishing cars with his dad, Bill, and going shopping with his momma, Missy, as he always liked looking sharp from his clothes to his good-smelling cologne, matching shoes, sunglasses, and jewelry. Jacob was always helping people and had a heart of gold. He was always laughing and joking with people and had an ornery little grin on his face. Jacob Loved his friends and family more than anything in the world. He was little but mighty, and he will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

The family would like to thank everyone for the calls, messages, and for sending up love and prayers from Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio. That has meant everything to them.

A celebration of life will be determined and held at a later time.

Visitation will not be observed. Arrangements are under the care of Boyer Cremation Services

Full service details and the family guest book are available at Boyer Funeral Home.
