Judy Ann Sather, 88, formerly of Waverly, Ohio, passed Monday, September 21, 2026, at her home in Plainfield, Illinois.
Judy was born July 5, 1938, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of the late Elmer Decker and Violet (Lakeberg) Decker. On June 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to Reverend Richard W. Sather, who preceded her in death January 30, 2009.
She is survived by three children, Stephanie Turton and husband Phil, Reverend Daniel Sather and wife Reverend Carly Stucklen, and Sheryl Wilkey and husband Reverend J. Wesley; ten grandchildren, Steven Krause, Jr, Sarah Krause, Sindi Krause Rains, Andrew Sather, Aaron Sather, Heather Coddington and Husband Sam, Ariana Gladfelter and husband Adam, Christian Wilkey and wife Emily, Eva Morton and husband Ethan, and Ian Wilkey; fifteen great grandchildren; her fur baby, Missy Calypso; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Norma Jean Schneider.
Judy was a member of Orchard Hill United Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Ohio. Memorials can be given to Orchard Hill United Church of Christ or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on November 21 at St Peters United Church of Christ in Kewanee, Illinois. Interment of ashes will be at Orchard Hill United Church of Christ in Chillicothe Ohio at a later date.
