Elza “June” Bridenbaugh Jr., 99, passed 11:40 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026 at his home.
He was born August 25, 1927 in Chillicothe to the late Elzie and Agnes Gragg Bridenbaugh. On June 2, 1951 he married Mary E. Coppock who preceded him June 19, 2022.
Surviving are children, Steve (Marie) Bridenbaugh of Kentucky, Ron (Chris) Bridenbaugh and Lisa Bridenbaugh-Miller both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Ph.D. Sy (Sarah) Bridenbaugh, Lydia Bridenbaugh, Jamie (Ryan) Miles, Joe Bridenbaugh and Ashley Franklin; great grandchildren, Macy (Konnor Johnson) Bridenbaugh and Austin (Zoe Penwell) Bridenbaugh and Teagan and Sawyer Miles; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandson, Dustin Lee Bates; brother, Robert “Bud” Bridenbaugh and sisters, Roberta Steele and Dora Mae Johnson.
Elza was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from A.E.P.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rich Cottrill officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call the WARE FUNERAL Home from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2026.
