COMMERCIAL POINT, Ohio — The Scioto Township Fire Department has set trick-or-treat hours for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, across the township and its villages, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department is asking residents to help keep the evening safe for trick-or-treaters. Children should wear reflective clothing or carry a flashlight or glow stick, and motorists are asked to use extra caution and watch for kids crossing streets, the department said. Parents are encouraged to accompany younger children, families should only visit homes with porch lights turned on, and all treats should be inspected before anyone eats them.
