ASHVILLE, Ohio — The Village of Ashville is urging residents to sign up for a free online tool that lets them track their water usage down to the hour, a step officials say can help households catch leaks before they turn into costly utility bills.

The tool, called My360, lets residents view their consumption by the hour, day, week or month and can send alerts when usage spikes unexpectedly, according to a village announcement. Village officials said the service is designed to flag the kind of small, unnoticed leak that can waste thousands of gallons of water without a homeowner’s knowledge.

“Your water. Your responsibility. Your peace of mind,” the village said in its announcement encouraging residents to register.

Residents can create an account at ashvillevillage.my360-app.com or through a link on the village’s website, AshvilleOhio.gov, under the “Water Usage” section. Registration requires an account number and either the customer’s name or street address as listed on their utility bill. The village said residents with questions can contact Utility Department staffer Colton Poling at [email protected].

My360 is a product of Neptune Technology Group, which builds metering and data systems used by municipal water utilities. The Ashville rollout follows the village’s move earlier this year to automated phone notifications for utility matters, including alerts for continuous water usage and account termination notices.

The push for better usage monitoring comes months after Ohio EPA regulators confirmed the village had resolved a series of violations found during a January inspection of its water treatment and storage system, including a leak in the riser pipe of its elevated storage tank. Village crews repaired that leak and other deficiencies last winter, and the agency closed out the case in October.

Ashville, a village of roughly 4,700 residents in Pickaway County, operates its own public water system serving homes and businesses within the village limits.
