Teresa Gambill (Church), 61 of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away on October 14, 2026 after her brave battle with cancer. Born April 14, 1965 to James and Lorraine Church. Teresa grew up and attended school (Adena) in Frankfort, Ohio before calling Chillicothe her home.
Teresa will be remembered for her caring heart, kindness, thoughtful generosity and the love she had for her family and friends. She never let a birthday or holiday pass without sending a card, making sure the people she loved knew they were remembered. When someone was going through a difficult time, she would make them a quilt – a gift of comfort, care and love stitched into something they could hold close.
Faith held an important place in Teresa's life, and was deeply involved in the Flourish Prayer Group on Facebook. She dearly loved the lifelong friends she made there.
She enjoyed crafts, gardening and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. She loved to spend time in Topsail, North Carolina with her husband Jay. Her beloved dogs Rocket and Tucker, held a special place in her heart. She was an avid member of the Wild About Brittany's Facebook group. Teresa shared a particularly close bond with her mother, Lorraine, whom she missed dearly after her passing. They were truly best friends.
She is survived by her husband Jason Gambill; son Brandon Ackley; and her brother Patrick Church of Westport, Connecticut, and Andrew McCarthy of Chicago, Illinois. She also leaves behind her dear cousin Shirley Brown, with whom she shared a special bond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lorraine Church, and her grandparents, Andrew and Winona Davis of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Ella and Lloyd Church of Pound, Virginia.
A celebration of Teresa's life will be held in the near future. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements have been made.
Teresa's kindness and generous spirit will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
