Robert “Bob” Lee Watkins, 89, of Ashville, Ohio passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Robert was born on February 3, 1937, in Groveport, Ohio to the late Harold B. and Viola G. (Heller) Watkins. Robert was a lifelong farmer who loved square dancing, listening to country music, wood cutting and lawn mowing. In the past, he had been employed by Cardinal Industries and Mt. Carmel East where he retired after 19 years of maintenance work. Robert was also a faithful member of Amazing Grace Church in Grove City.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jason R. Watkins and grandson, Matthew Watkins;
Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Janet (Barber) Watkins; children, Jon R. (Shelly) Watkins, Jeff (Cindi) Watkins, Joe (Tawnya) Watkins, Beth (David) Allen and stepdaughter, Tresa (Matt) Brown; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and brother, Harold (Catherine) Watkins; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Tom Babbit as well as many other friends and classmate Suzie Price.
The family will receive friends at Amazing Grace Church, 2255 Quail Creek Blvd, Grove City, Ohio, 43123 on Friday, October 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., a Funeral Service will follow. Pastor Tom Alexander will offer words of comfort. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Helping Hands Womens’ Ministry at Amazing Grace Church.
