Shirley Faye Conklin, 81, of Minford, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at SOMC Hospice. She was born on September 27, 1945, in Scioto County, Ohio, daughter of the late William Orville and Marcella M. (Coriell) Howell, and was a homemaker.
Shirley will be remembered with love by her family and by all who shared in her life. She leaves behind her two daughters, Renee Johnson and Kimberly (Scott) Spradlin; eight grandchildren, Candice (Mike) Sites, Kris Conklin, Jr., Taylor Coe, Katelyn (Patrick) Thurman, Letha Johnson, Jacob (Sammy) Johnson, Gary Spradlin, Cassie (Jared) Simpson, and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Eugene Conklin, Sam Stapleton; her son, Kris R. Conklin; and by her three brothers, Floyd Howell, William E. Howell, and Manuel Howell.
Shirley’s memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her family find comfort in the many cherished memories they shared with her, and may her life continue to be honored through the generations of family who survive her.
