
Seventeen grandchildren include: Dalton, Emily and Sofia Clark of ID. Duncan, Elizabeth, Jillian (Bramley), Talon, Gavin, Simon, Penelope, Canon, Ryan, and Reuben Anderson of Wake Forest, NC. Brent, Sonora, Riley, Lexie (Kimball) Stout of Random Lake, WI. With eight great grandchildren.
During his school years in Chillicothe, he earned the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout award, was honored with the Vigil Honor of Scouting’s National Honorary “Order of the Arrow”, and was appointed the Chief of the local Maka-Ina Lodge. He was also co-captain of the CHS football team and track teams during his 1960-61 senior year.
David attended Ohio University from 1961-65 and graduated with a BS degree. While at OU, he met and married classmate, Fran Bruner. He played in the 1962 Sun Bowl and on the 1963 MAC Championship Football Team. He was Secretary of the Varsity “O” Letterman’s Club 1964-1965. He was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honorary and a long-time member of the Ohio University Bobcat Club. He obtained an MA degree in 1966 and from 1967 to 1969, he continued his education in Computer Science at The Ohio State University where he was a staff member at the OSU Computer Center. He later completed certification in automating transportation systems at Penn State University.
During his work career, he held several information technology (IT) positions at major Corporations including; programmer, systems analyst, designer, supervisor, manager, and Director of Management Information Systems. Later, he served as a Regional Computer Audit Manager with Coopers & Lybrand Public Accountants (C&L) before their merger with Price Waterhouse. At C&L, he held positions of responsibility in the Columbus, Houston, and Dallas offices. For 10 years, he led audit and security teams to identify, assess, and test controls at several large corporate data centers and network environments. He later became Information Systems Audit Manager for McKesson Corporation in San Francisco with world-wide IT audit responsibilities.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with the Funeral Service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
