The Highland County Press reports that area law enforcement from the Highland County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsboro Police Department had been seeking an escaped inmate from the Highland County Justice Center since Thursday afternoon. However, at 5:20 p.m. Friday, Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera said the inmate, Johnny D. Branham, 37, was apprehended near U.S. 52 in Clermont County, the Press reported.
Branham had escaped from custody while at Highland District Hospital at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday. He was last seen wearing only red jail pants (no shirt or shoes) and was wearing leg cuffs.
