Debra Jean (Tyree) Harris, 70, passed away on June 17, 2021 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
Debra was born on February 12, 1951 in Washington CH, Ohio to the late John, Jr. and Betty (Johns) Tyree. She was a graduate of the Washington Senior High School. Debbie had enjoyed working in the Head Start Center locally for 21 years, starting as a bus driver and finishing as a teacher. She was a former member of the American Legion Post 653 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
Along with her parents, Debra was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Burns-Smith, Ellen and Mareta Tyree, and brothers, Terry Burns and John III and Mark Tyree.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Harris; her children, Lance Tyree and Laura Tyree; grandchildren, Jalaya Hesson and her husband Garrett, Alexis Crabtree and her husband Adam, Justice, Maleah, Kionte and Kyah Tyree, Jeleeya Smith, and Jaya and Javin Mattox; great-grandchildren, Jayce Hesson, Hayden Crabtree, and another Baby Crabtree soon to follow; sister, Martina Tyree; and brothers, Earl Burns and Tony Tyree. She also leaves her stepchildren, Roberts Harris, Jr., Patty, Jimmy, and Emily Yahn, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and her many friends.
A funeral service is planned for 1pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastors Esto Haithcock, Jr. and Randy Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to help with funeral costs.
