WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — At least one person is dead as investigators piece together a crime scene in Fayette County.
The shooting happened near the intersections of Delaware and Temple Street. Police have been on scene since the early-morning hours of Thursday morning investigating the homicide.
When officers arrived, they say they found Robert L. Gould II, 45, dead with a gunshot to the chest. He was found in the middle of the street, according to investigators.
Law enforcement would not confirm if any additional victims existed. The investigation has been labeled as a “homicide” and police said a suspect has been taken into custody on unrelated charges. Their name was not released.
