ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Fire and Rescue crews from multiple townships responded to a structure fire on Piney Creek Road around 8 p.m. on Monday.
According to firefighters on the scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Kevin Harper, the township’s fire chief said that the elderly woman who lived at the home was able to safely get out.
State fire marshals were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire as a precaution, Harper said. The home, according to the chief, is a total loss. The Red Cross out of Ross County was dispatched to assist the family.
