VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A Vinton County man is behind bars after deputies say they found a large quantity of methamphetamine and prescription pills.
According to Vinton County Sheriff Ryan C. Cain, deputies received a call regarding a man passed out in a vehicle on Saturday. Reports say, deputies responded to Goosecreek Road and found Jeffrey Remy, 57, Ray.
Remy, law enforcement said, had an active warrant and was arrested.
Sheriff Cain said a search was conducted on the vehicle and a large quantity of what appeared to be methamphetamine was found. Remy also had several prescription bottles full of pills, the Sheriff said.
Remy was booked into the Scioto County Jail where he is being held on the warrant.
Vinton County Prosecutor James Payne said felony charges for tampering with evidence and drug trafficking will be filed early next week.
