Ilo Marie Davis, age 86, of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at St Catherine’s Manor. She was born the daughter of the late Clarence Floyd and Lydia M. McDonald Gall on August 11, 1935, in Highland, Ohio. Ilo had a wonderfully outgoing personality and she often jokingly described herself as “mean, ornery, and hateful.” She was a tom boy that grew up with seven brothers. Ilo was a big Elvis fan. She was a 1953 graduate of Fairfield High School. Ilo was a resident of St Catherine’s Manor for 6 years and her family would like to sincerely thank everyone at St Catherine’s for taking care of their mom. You were like a second family to Ilo. And also, a thank you to Hospice of Fayette County. You made Ilo’s last days very easy for her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Davis; granddaughter, Nikki Shelton; and seven brothers. Ilo is survived by her four children, Beverly (Chuck) Coffey, Steve E. Davis, Joan Davis, and T.L. (Sandy) Davis; four grandchildren, Travis Davis, Jessica (Jeff) Clouser, R.C. Hayslip, and Justin (Sheila) Hayslip; and 13 great grandchildren. In keeping with her wishes, Ilo will be cremated. Turner & Son Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
