ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The driver of a car near the village of Bainbridge had to be rescued after he drove into floodwaters. It is the second such rescue within a couple hours.
Reports say the vehicle was submerged in floodwaters near Potts Hill Road and Route 50.
Rescue personnel arrived to find a vehicle inundated by rapidly rising water and the driver on the roof of his car.
Crews were able to rescue the driver, saving his life.
According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, several area roads are closed because of flooding, including route 50 at Bainbridge.
Earlier in the night, a woman was rescued in Green Township by fire crews as she was on top of her roof surrounded by water.
