ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Firefighters from multiple townships responded to the area of county road 900 near Old Route 35 in Ross County Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, crews responded to a structure fire.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., firefighters requested additional tankers and manpower to the scene.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation at this time. The Guardian could not independently verify if the residents of the home evacuated the residence before the fire.

Old Route 35, officials said, will remain shut down while crews work to put out the flames.
