Edward D. “Ed” Dubois, age 78 of Hillsboro, passed away Friday evening, May 13, 2022 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia. He was born April 27, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of the late Elton and Delphine (Boge) Dubois. Ed loved to salmon fish in Michigan, and he enjoyed hunting and camping. He is survived by his wife Marietta (Allen) Dubois, whom he married on June 8, 2008. He is also survived by his children, Edward Dubois, Jr., Tammy Morrical, Tina Ellis, Donny Dubois, Joann Gilman-Dubois, and Pauline Proctor; stepchildren Rosemary (Timothy) Darling, Jamie King, Brian King, Terry King, Melody King and Robin (Bobby) Souder; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and four siblings, Mac, David, Betty and Marie. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 18, 2022 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Chaplain Kara Kay will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
