Deputies and troopers are on the scene of a shooting in Chillicothe.
It is taking place at Dogwood apartment complex on Western Avenue. The call came into the Sheriff’s office around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
Law enforcement say that a man and woman were laying on a couch when they heard a gunfire and felt a bullet missing them my mere centimeters. The couple told law enforcement that the woman felt a “burning” sensation on her hand, but had not been struck by the bullet. No injuries have been reported.
When deputies arrived, they found a bullet in the couch where the couple was laying. Deputies say the round came from the apartment above the couple’s unit.
After knocking on the door numerous times, deputies forced their way inside to the second floor apartment because of “extenuating circumstances” and did not find anyone inside.
Deputies and state troopers are on-scene investigating at this hour.
