Lynn Martin “Marty” Beatty, age 75, of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born December 8, 1947 in Greenfield, Ohio, the son of Floyd Raymond and Betty Valaria (McQuay) Beatty.
Marty was a 1966 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School, served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and attended the Chapel of Hope. He was owner/operator of Beatty Trucking, a lifelong musician/singer, a cyclist, and a loving husband, father, and papi.
He is survived by his wife Judith (Veach) Beatty whom he married on July 31, 1976; two sons, Christopher (Jennifer) Beatty of Winter Garden, FL, Lynn Beatty (Rosa Pinedo) of Mainville; one daughter, Valaria (Jamie) Campbell of Washington C.H.; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Lydia, Benjamin, Juliette, Griffin, Madison, Kenedi; two great grandchildren, Jaxton and Josiah; three sisters, Carolin Sever of Greenfield, Doris Boelens of Maricopa, AZ, Kimberly (Bryan) Brewer of Greenfield; two brothers, Raymond Beatty of Hillsboro, Timothy (Sherri) Beatty of Greenfield; two half-sisters, Candice (Tim) Cottrill of Frankfort, Patricia Beatty of Greenfield; four half-brothers, Floyd (Deana) Beatty of South Salem, Leslie (Missy) Beatty of Greenfield, Lester (Jackie) Beatty of Sabina, Patrick (Casey) Beatty of Martinsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Beatty, Bruce Beatty; father, Floyd Beatty; mother and stepfather, Betty and Tom Garrison.
Funeral service will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 12 at the Chapel of Hope in Greenfield with Pastor Randy Abbott officiating. Military rites will be provided by Highland County Honor Guard, followed by cremation. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, at the church.
