CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A new hotel will soon break ground in Chillicothe among the busiest street in town.
TownPlace Suites, which is a division of Marriott is building the hotel. The hotel will be located at 454 North Shawnee Lane, near Golden Corral; just off busy Bridge Street.
“Attracting both business and leisure travelers, the Chillicothe area is an ideal location for this opening,” said Janis Milham, Senior Vice President, of Classic Select Brands for Marriott International. “Our brand offers distinct amenities and services that tailor to all visitors.”
The project was announced in September with groundbreaking expected this spring.
Ideal for travelers who need accommodations for longer stays, TownePlace Suites offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens that have stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas. Guests can work and relax on their terms in modern suites that feature a fun, yet sophisticated sofa and task chair, a large flat-screen television as well as luxurious new bedding.
TownePlace Suites is a brand operated by Marriott International. The chain is part of the mid-tier extended-stay lodging segment of the hospitality industry and consists of all-suites hotels. As of year-end 2018, TownePlace Suites operated 433 hotels in the United States and Canada with 43,953 rooms in addition to 223 hotels with 22,467 rooms in the pipeline.
